Katella High School is a public high school in Anaheim, California and is part of the Anaheim Union High School District. It serves 2,700 students in grades nine through twelve. 70 percent of its students are Hispanic, 20 percent Caucasian, 6 percent Asian, and 4 percent other.

Katella High serves as the alma mater for three sitting members of the United States House of Representatives, (Linda Sanchez (D) CA-39, Ed Royce (R) CA-40, and Loretta Sanchez (D) CA-47. It is the only public high school in the nation to hold such a distinction in congressional history.

Athletics

Katella's athletic teams compete in the Empire League of the California Interscholastic Federation's Southern Section. Katella has two CIF championships in soccer, and one in baseball. Katella has recently won championships in Girl's Soccer and Waterpolo.

In the 2007-2008 school year, Katella had numerous teams advancing to the CIF SS playoffs including cross country, waterpolo, baseball, basketball, and many individual track athletes as well.

The boys varsity soccer team won CIF consecutively in 06-07

Starting the 2008-2009 athletics seasons, Katella's Women Volleyball Team advanced to the 2nd Round of the CIF Southern Section Playoffs. Katella's Men's Water Polo Team had great success as they beat Valencia 7-1 in the Division VII CIF SS Final Game, making themselves CIF Champs. They repeated this CIF championship feat the next year by beating Valencia once again in the Division VII CIF SS Final Game.
